Florence
Florence was more of a city than a
tourist attraction (like Venice), and we were continually amazed at the
buzzing clouds of mopeds that whipped through the city streets. We
managed to get into *the* museum to see, the Uffizi, but had to settle
for seeing only replicas of Michelangelo's David and other sculptures.
(Like we could tell the difference,anyway!) We climbed more duomo's
(cathedrals) here, and the largest duomo had five ambulances parked outside.
Very encouraging.
